What Treatwell charges in the UK, and why you might look elsewhere
Treatwell is a booking platform with its own marketplace and client app, widely used by hair and beauty salons. Its UK pricing page lists two plans, Freelancer and Advanced (unlimited staff), and says that, aside from your monthly fee, it charges a 35% commission on first bookings made by new clients it brings you from the marketplace; the plan descriptions add that this commission depends on location. The amount of the monthly fee is not shown, so check it with Treatwell.
Repeat bookings carry 0% commission, and so do bookings made directly with you: calls, messages, clients you add yourself or its booking buttons on your social media and website. When a client prepays through the platform, a 2.5% processing fee applies. Commissions and fees are subject to VAT.
Prices differ by country: in Spain, for example, Treatwell publishes a different commission. If your salon already fills its diary through Google, Instagram or word of mouth, flat-priced booking software gives you a fixed monthly cost and a booking link of your own.
