Booking fee calculator: what your platform really costs

If the platform brings you clients you would not get any other way, it may be worth what it costs. BookingForNow has no marketplace: you bring in new clients yourself with your own link.

Worked example with the starting values
A hair salon with 2 professionals uses Booksy with Boost and gets 8 new clients a month through Boost, with an average first-visit spend of €40.
Fees: €42.99 per month. Boost: 8 × €40 × 30% = €96 per month. Total: €138.99 per month, €1,667.88 a year. With BookingForNow it needs Starter: €29 per month, €348 a year, with no commission. Difference: €109.99 per month and €1,319.88 a year.
Without Boost, Booksy charges nothing for those clients and the difference drops to €13.99 per month.
What the calculator counts
It adds the fixed fees (monthly and per staff member) and the commission for each new client who reaches you through the platform, worked out on their first visit. It leaves out your regulars, because the platforms charge no commission on them, and payment processing costs, which depend on how you take payment. Everything excludes VAT.
How to read the result
The difference is not guaranteed savings: it is what you would pay more or less with the numbers you entered. Before deciding, look at your last three months: how many bookings came through the platform, how many were from people who already knew you, and how much you paid in fees and commissions.
How BookingForNow charges
With a fixed fee: a €0 Free plan for 1 professional, Starter at €29 per month and Pro at €79 per month, with no commission per booking or per new client. Your clients book from your own link on Instagram, Google Maps or WhatsApp and pay you at your premises.
Frequently asked questions
Where do the Booksy, Treatwell and Fresha figures come from?
From each one’s pricing page for Spain, checked on 27 September 2026 and linked next to the calculator. What we could not verify, such as Treatwell’s monthly fee or the amount of Fresha’s new-client fee, is left blank so you can enter your current rate. If you are outside Spain, enter your own figures.
Why does it only count new clients?
Because that is what they charge for: Treatwell, 25% of the first booking of each new client from its marketplace; Booksy, 30% of the first visit if you turn on Boost; Fresha, a one-off fee per new client. They charge no commission on your regulars’ bookings.
Which BookingForNow plan does it compare with?
The first one that covers all your professionals: Free for 1, Starter up to 3 and Pro beyond that. Free sends no automatic reminders and covers up to 50 clients; if you need them, compare with Starter.
Do you store what I type?
No. The calculation runs in your browser and nothing you type is sent anywhere. If you reload the page, the starting values come back.
